Belleville CEO Student and CEO of Avangalia’s Purely You Ava Katsikas shared her three key takeaways from CEO in her final presentation. “Do something that you are passionate about: This idea has become most prominent to me above all else. Through the creation and continuance of my personal business, having a passion for what you are doing has been proven to be true. If you have no passion, there will be no motivation. A successful business owner must be creative: To be successful in owning a business, an owner must be creative in their marketing, target audience, and overall show to the public. This became most relevant to me when planning my booth for the tradeshow. Creative presentation helps to bring in more customers and interest. Knowing numbers and financials is extremely important: This is something that almost every business owner taught us and talked about. Before CEO, I was not educated in the field of numbers when it comes to financials. Through the creation of my own personal business, I got a baseline of knowledge that I know will help me through the rest of my life, especially in my journey with business.” Ava’s future plans are to attend the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and then continue on to law school.
