Belleville CEO Student and CEO of Rosey Clean Soap Company Rose Peden discussed the book, This is Marketing by Seth Godin, that she read this year in CEO during her final presentation. Rose discussed these three key points: “Marketing is everything including the way you answer the phone, what you do for your employees, the prices you charge, how reliable you are, etc. Marketing is a practice of empathy rather than a manipulation. Should be making a positive change in a person's life. It should be a change they actually want. Serving the smallest possible market is more beneficial because you can relate to a certain crowd and focus on the needs of a smaller group.” Rose will be attending the University of Iowa in the fall and majoring in marketing.
