As the first week back from the winter break, I expected it to be a little slower and not as productive while we got acclimated to being back in class and at a new home base. But I was gladly proven wrong. We really did show our unity by jumping into all the things that we needed to get done to get back on track for February 20th. I was reminded how much of a cohesive and well-oiled machine we are. From the start, we all started to work like nothing had changed or no break was taken. I loved being able to see and interact with everyone again. The streaming side of things is going great. We are ahead of track this semester to be able and put on our show.
This week we also got to meet with a longtime family friend of mine, Ransom Wuller. He came and spoke to us about his company AEYE and how he went from a local lawyer to a nationally known name in the field. I could tell how passionate he was about the field of artificial computer recognition. Although not much of the information can be used on the class business, I took a lot of the information and will use it in my personal business. The part of his presentation that I will use the most is how he formed connections and what it turned in to. I hope that I can form the same connections and know people that are as passionate about computers as I am.
