Randy Givens
About Me
Hi I’m Randy Givens, I’m a senior at Belleville West. After working closely with the CEOs of v8 Speed and Restoration shop, I began to start thinking about innovation and company development. After learning of the CEO program, I became excited about the opportunity to develop and believe this is a great road for me to begin this aspirational journey.
My time at Belleville West has been transformative and enlightening. I have been involved with many activities throughout the course of tenure. I’ve participated in football as a defense line. I was involved in track and field focusing on shotput and discus thrower. In tennis I refined my skills in doubles while also spending time in drama club building sets and aiding in audio and lighting along with a focus on choir culminating in the first choir band collaboration where I provided solo vocals for a Queen tribute.
I volunteered with the JROTC assisting with training and volunteering time to the local libraries. I have also taken part in volunteering with a domestic violence program, aiding in the collection of clothing, food and resources. I’ve also taken part in the “we care we connect” at Scott AFB aiding in the preparation and delivery of meals to new families. Within my local community I assisted installing drywall and bay’s, speeding up their opening in downtown Belleville as well as aiding them move to their new business spot. Aiding the German club, I assisted with fund sourcing during Oktoberfest, as well as working with Eckerts every year for the haunted hayride which provides funding for my school.
My Mom once told me “don’t try to out plan life,” that it’s always good to make plans, but that life always tends to show you a different direction; be open to it. Now that said, this is where I am looking: to enter the Air Force.
