The CEO Program has been an incredible opportunity, teaching me as much about who I am as it has about business. It opened doors unlike any other program I’ve been part of and helped pave the way toward the future I envision for myself as an aspiring entrepreneur. CEO not only taught me valuable lessons but also allowed me to create something of my own through my personal business.

I first discovered CEO during my sophomore year through my school’s bulletin. After waiting a year to apply, it ended up being everything I hoped for and more. Our advisor, Nick Johnson, made the experience even more meaningful with his support and passion. I loved building my future in real time by networking, learning, and developing skills that will stay with me for years to come. Each morning was fast-paced and exciting—meeting business owners, developing our class business, and working closely with a mentor made the experience come to life.

Some of the most valuable lessons I learned in CEO are resilience, professionalism, and the importance of continuous growth. Entrepreneurship requires perseverance. There were times when plans didn’t go right or life felt overwhelming, but waking up early every day helped me realize how resilient I truly am. I also learned how vital it is to be presentable—first impressions and consistent, professional communication matter. A positive attitude and presence can open doors that skills alone sometimes can’t.

Most importantly, I gained a passion for learning. I now understand how powerful it is to keep growing—both personally and professionally. That mindset pushes me forward no matter what challenges I face.

Creating my business and meeting inspiring people was amazing, but what I value most is the personal growth I’ve experienced. CEO gave me the space to grow independently and gain wisdom beyond the classroom. Because of this journey, I feel confident taking on the future with the support of CEO and the Belleville community.
