The CEO program has helped me set up for my future in so many ways. It has taught me so many useful skills that I will carry with me as I continue my entrepreneurial journey. Some of those skills included how to do a proper handshake, how to dress in business casual, and how to wake up early, on time, and arrive 5 minutes early everyday. More extreme skills that I now notice myself using daily and have helped me grow as an individual include, public speaking, networking, building connections, and putting myself out there and getting out of my comfort zone. I also learned the benefits and drawbacks of working on a huge project as a team (the class business), as well as how to start my very own business. I really enjoyed getting involved in the local community and visiting so many different businesses that I had never thought of before. Another thing CEO has taught me is how to make connections quickly with total strangers. I met a lot of new people this year that I never would have before if not for this program due to the fact that they go to different schools. When doing the class business or individual business I learned a lot about overcoming difficult obstacles and not to let them bring you down. The skills and knowledge that I have gained through the program has really helped me develop as a person and they aren’t just skills that you use in the class but outside it as well that you might not even realize at first. Overall CEO has really made my year more enjoyable and my experience will not be forgotten. It has made a great impact on me and also has helped me set up for success in the future and I am extremely grateful for all of the opportunities I was provided through this program.
