About Me

I am a senior at Belleville West High School. I am a member of the National Honor Society, the Speech and Acting Team, and Project Diva International Academy. I am also the co-founder and President of Next Generation, a club for high-achieving students of color in honors classes at Belleville West.  I am the recipient of my high school’s Mighty Maroon Award, Voice of Democracy, and NAACP Oratory competition awards, and am a Questbridge College Prep Scholar. In my free time, I like to read, exercise, and listen to music.

I chose Belleville CEO to build better team-building skills and communication.  By co-founding my organization, the Next Generation, I hope to apply the skills from CEO to building a safe space for students of color.  I plan on attending a four-year university and am interested in studying sociology, urban studies, African-American studies, and American studies. As of now, I would like to work in the nonprofit sector, however, I believe the career I want has not even been created yet. My ultimate dream is to become financially independent and create a scholarship for low-income Black students.
