Me being in CEO has just been such a great experience. From learning about business to ending up starting my own business. The amount of new people I have met during this journey is vast. Not just meeting and befriending my classmates but also meeting so many business owners too. Being able to learn about different businesses/careers really helped me finalize what I wanted to do for my career. Thanks to this program I was able to improve my confidence and have better eye contact. Now after all I have learned from the countless business visits and my experience at the Trade show, I have gained new confidence that I can run my own business effectively.
Being in this program has had me develop some skills. Which are being able to speak louder (which I struggled with at the beginning being more of a quiet guy). Another skill I got is being able to pitch my business to random people. If I told myself I was going to pitch people my own business I wouldn't believe it. A skill I am proud of is starting a conversation with strangers. I am proud of this because in the past, I wouldn't say anything, but now I have the confidence to start conversations with ease.
Now CEO has been a great experience but there have been a few challenges I have faced. A challenge I have had is when making my commercial. Making the commercial itself wasn't hard, but making my product was a different story. It took a long time to make my pizza because I kept forgetting stuff at the store. Thanks to that experience, I learned to also make a checklist so that I don't forget anything, and also be prepared if something goes wrong.
CEO has helped me become more resourceful by putting me in situations like my class 5k, where we didn't have a dispenser for the hot chocolate and had to borrow a coffee carafe from someone. This program helped me realize to trust in one another and speak your mind. Every voice should be heard. After the CEO program I plan to keep working on my networking skills, so I can really get the Kosmo Dough name out there. In conclusion, being a part of this program has helped me grow so much and I'm glad I was a part of it.
