“On Wednesday the CEO classes had a wonderful business visit with Jamie Auffenberg from Auffenberg Dealer Group. Jamie, who has been with Auffenberg for 50 years never expected to be where he is now. At age 26, he started in the business only expecting to work for 6 months, but ended up inheriting the business from his father. Jamie shared with the CEO class that we can never been too set on one idea for our future as things can always change and we can end up where we may not expect. He also shared his wisdom of the car industry, specifically he focused on the ability of being flexible. In his line of work the industry is always changing; prices, models, car parts, and supply and demand overall, he had to learn to be ready to tackle any of these changes. Thank you for your time and advice Jamie, we loved hearing from you!”

“On Wednesday, we visited Auffenberg Dealer Group and had the chance to speak with Jamie Auffenberg. ‘Good people skills; teach the rest.’ Jamie said this during our discussion, and I think it summarized the focus of how opportunity and good people are the keys to the growth and success of a business. There are opportunities for success everywhere; you just have to put yourself out there and embrace them to grow. Also, good people are the key to good businesses. Keeping good relationships not only with the community but employees too leads to success and growth.”
