Belleville CEO has without a doubt been the most impactful class I’ve ever taken. This time, my junior year I knew what I wanted to do in the future. I wanted to be a lawyer and practice business law. I remember finding out I was accepted into this program and being excited about the opportunity I had to learn more about business. However that was just the surface of what I would learn in this class. Through Belleville CEO one of the biggest things I learned was how to be a leader. Being above the normal level of dressing up and waking early was just the beginning of this. Every day being able to network with business owners, talk through their thought processes, and see their success gives you a confidence that can’t be described with words. I personally gained a skill in leadership throughout the class business. Taking on the role of CEO at first seemed so little. However as we faced challenges and hardships, It ignited a growth in me to lead and to adapt to every situation. At the same time it taught me to be trusting and to rely on my peers. Starting off, having a personal business seemed impossible. Going to the trade show last year and seeing everyone with their own business they took pride in was just daunting. I often questioned if I could even do it too. However, very quickly this program turned that around for me. I decided that instead of dreading the personal business. I would tackle it head on. So I created a business within the first semester officially launching in the second semester. I took a simple passion of mine that had a problem, and I made the solution. Belleville CEO has not only changed me professionally but as a person as well I’ve grown exponentially stronger in this year.
