Jordon Gully

About Me

I am Jordon Gully and I am a senior at The Governor French Academy. The reason why I applied for Belleville CEO was because I want to pursue a career in politics, and running a business is the equivalent of running a country.

I am heavily involved in many activities, both in my community and at school. I serve in many leadership positions, such as serving as the 76th and current Youth Lieutenant Governor of Illinois in the Illinois YMCA Youth and Government, Member of the Student Board of Directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, National Expansion Director of the Black Caucus of High School Democrats of America, Former Treasurer, Vice President, and President of the World Language Club at The Governor French Academy, Youth Ambassador and Operations Intern at the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation, and as a Member of Go! International, where I had the chance to travel to Ecuador to create a business relationship between the nonprofit and the Waorani Nation.

People can describe me as ambitious, extraordinary, and proactive. I try to live my life with the philosophy that when someone gives me an opportunity, I not only use it to uplift myself, but I use it to uplift others. In my freetime, one can find me updating myself with recent political events, watching tv shows (House of Cards and Empire are my favorite), and making great memories with my friends. After high school graduation, I plan on pursuing a degree in either public policy with a concentration in agriculture or international affairs at a university locally, or in the Washington, D.C. area respectively.
